My opinion is that this ferret needs a vet check. Adrenal disease comes to mind for me as it
does for others, but other illnesses can also lead to extra attention being received.

Sometimes a behavioral change is the first sign of trouble. Sometimes it is not. Still, it is
better to get the good news of a false alarm than it is to let a problem advance when it could
be caught.
