Subject: [ferrethealth] food and thanks
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Thanks joan for the info on medication results and to all of you that
have helped me so far, sorry to keep asking what seem like basic
questions, but heres another one.....

I got a young ferret (kit) yesterday the vet says he is 2 mths old but
he still has his umbilical bump and seems to me very small, anyway
question is, food. Is it okay to feed him kibble this young or is it
there a better option? he wasnt keen on kibble last night so has had
chicken.

Also does anyone know how long kibble last once opened, I have had
mine for almost 1 yr now (got a big bag) and am wondering if its best
to bin this and get fresh.
Thanks in advance
Linda
