The pneumonia has been seen after 3 radiographies. It was long to
diagnose it because i was seeing vets that are not used of ferrets
(its very hard to find one in France), they though (i saw 3 of them
before finding a specialist) it was a cardiomiopathy making her badly
breath, her heart is a little difformed but it is an individual
variation, we did an echography and an echocardiography, her heart is
perfect, at the echography we saw that her heart was functionning
perfectly. they told me she has an insulomina we did 2 blood test at
different moments, it was false, it was due to the fact she didnt want
to eat due to the pneumonia so her sugar was low. they told me she has
kidney failure, following blood test and echography it is not. So they
missed the pneumonia for 1 month and a half, making me cry and
desperate by saying that my ferret has few months to live. On the
echography she has one lesion on her lung, she was starting to cough
and reject white thing from the lung, she had fever, didnt want so
much to eat, was dehydrated so was pissing a lot...
I gave her baytril yesterday, she vomitted so i think she cant handle
it, i called her vet, specialist of ferret, he said it can make sick
but it is very rare so we stop it. I continue the other antibiotic, i
came back at the dose he prescribed because she handles well the other
medicine.
