It sounds like a vet trip may be in order. When the mucous shows up, the eyes may have
picked up a bacterial infection - or it could be nothing much at all. It could be the litter or the
detergent or even chemicals in the towels if they have never been washed. OR, stuff from the
hands of people who touched the towels before you bought them, again, if you haven't
washed them.

instead of using water, get those little saline eye drops in sterile packaging. You can get
them in the pharmacy section of someplace like wal-mart and use that. It is better for her
eyes than the water, which has stuff in it - that's why you get an annual water report.
