I'm not a vet either ( but have 10 years experiance as a rescue), but
there are two more things that can cause the rectume to look like
this. One is an Impacted anal gland which would need to be expressed
by your vet and the other is an Infected analgland which would also
need to be expressed and antibiotics will need to be given. It is
best to get your baby into the vet ASAP first thing in the morning.
Not only are these problems uncomfortable but they are also painfull.
