Subject: [ferrethealth] Mojave- difficulty urinating again
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I decided to give in to what many people on this list were saying
and treated Mojave as though it is adrenal disease that is making it
difficult for him to urinate, despite his not showing any other
symptoms.

He's been on 1 mg of propecia for over a month and on July 2, he had
a 4 month Lupron depot done IM and a melatonin implant. Today I
finally caught him trying to urinate. He is still walking in and out
of the litter pan before finally going. He also still stretches
himself out like he's trying to have a bowel movement and pushes his
abdomen in and out. It could just be this last time, but it also
seemed as though it took him longer to empty his bladder than it
normally does.

Now I just wasted $202.25 getting him the lupron and melatonin
(plus, the $99 for the propecia so far).

Anyone have any other ideas?

Again, the ultrasound did not show anything, the x-rays revealed a
misshapen bladder, and his bloodwork was normal. He had a TN panel
done on 2/14 that did come back as 2 of the 3 parameters were
elevated supporting clinical signs of adrenal disease. However, the
vet who took it said it wasn't a good blood sample since it is very
hard to get blood from Mojave.
