xxxxxxx,
If you go here http://www.lupron.com/prostate/PackageInsert.asp you can
get the product insert for the Lupron Depot. According to this it must
be administered intramuscularly, so not sure who told you it was okay
to do the Depot version subq. I know my vet only does even the non-
depot version IM. I inject my ferrets with Lupron and always do it IM.

The package insert also list injection site reactions and abcesses as
adverse reactions. In my opiniion YOU NEED TO SPEAK TO A VET about what
you did, and what's happening. If one of the vets here does not respond
you somehow need to get him in to a vet that can at least monitor for
abcesses, and also tell you what effect giving this injection sub q
instead of IM has on the absorbtion rate. After a hysterectomy at a
young age I used depot Estradiol injections for years which I self
administered. I was told by my doctor that they had to be deep into
muscle or they would be absorbed into my system way too quickly. I
supsect the same may be true for the depot Lupron, and you need to find
this out.

Val not a vet, lupron user and personal experience with depot
injections on myself in past
