Hi Randi
Yes, using pred for the insulinoma can suppress
the immune system when it is a high dose.
Clindamycin is a good antibiotic for Bacteroides and
works for most dental infections. However you have a
mixed infection that would require 2-3 antibiotics. High doses
and long term Zeniquin or Baytril for the Pasteurella infection and
Clindamycin or Clavamox for the Bacteroides and maybe even
adding Flagyl for the Peptostreptcoccus.
Pasteurella can be hard to clear up and maybe the reason
this keeps flaring up every couple of months.
