Subject: [ferrethealth] Ferret drank liquid from inside a child's toy...need help!
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

My ferret Linus, who's about 10 months old, broke my niece's toy and
probably drank some of the liquid from inside of it. I don't know what
is inside this toy and I don't know if it's toxic or can hurt him in
any way. We don't have the packaging or anything to tell us if the
liquid is okay to ingest or not. Here is the toy:

^the liquid was thicker than water so I don't think that water was the
only thing in the tube.

We rinsed his paws and wiped his mouth and have been trying to give
him water. Anything else I should be doing to make sure he's fine? Is
it safe to assume it's nontoxic and non-harmful if it was in a kids
toy? Any help appreciated ASAP.

Thank you,
~Emily and the kids (Summer, Phoebe, Bailey, Lily and Linus)
