One thing you have to remember is that what is non-toxic for humans is not always non-
toxic for ferrets.

That is one reason there have been poisonings of ferrets from OTC meds and why even some
human foods (alliums) may pose a potentially fatal anemia risk for ferrets while being healthy
for humans, and certainly grapes and raisins are safe for us but have induced acute kidney
failure in ferrets, dogs, and cats.

On the other hand some things they can safely eat would be poisonous to humans which is
why it pays to use veterinary toxicologists for the consultation.

Can't rely on plain old luck, though, hopefully, there will be luck this time.
