First, I would confirm this with a ferret vet and their recommended
pharmacist. Ferrets' metabolisms and conditions are different than
other animals.

With that said, I don't wait 2 hours between Carafate and feeding
Bear, but I do try to wait at least 2 hours between Carafate and any
serious meds that need to be absorbed well by the tummy, such as
heart meds and antibiotics. Remember, Carafate is like a big liquid
bandaid in the tummy, so its coating might prevent (and does prevent)
certain meds and liquids from getting absorbed if they follow the
carafate too soon.
