Subject: [ferrethealth] Cardiomyopathy
To: <ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com>

Hi everyone,
Short intro I got a message from Lynne that this list might be able to help
me with my Mayhem. I run a small rescue and presently I have an oldster who
has been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy. He's presently on 0.35 ml of
furosemide 2mg/ml bid and enacard 2.5 mg - 1/4 tablet once daily. My vet
isn't all that ferret savy but is working hard with me and she's had
fantastic results (in dogs) with the drug called Pimobendan. We've heard it
can be used successfully for ferrets. We were wondering if any one might
know the dose or how to figure out the dosage for a 4.2 lbs fuzzy.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Ciao
Heather and the furkids
