Subject: [ferrethealth] AlphaTRAK -- Need Current Ferret Level
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I remember at the symposium that the vets said to calibrate the meter
to the Canine setting instead of feline. I purchased an AlphaTRAK
Glucometer, and the set it to the canine. When I read the number, is
that a negative or positive that I need to adjust to know what it
would be for my ferrets.

The shelter adopted out a ferret and two days later is showing signs.
I'm going to test them tonight to help the first time ferret owners.
They had read Ferrets for Dummies and followed Kim's advise, and
wanted to adopt out more middle age, but weren't ready for illnesses.
These ferrets have been turned in twice, and I was hoping for a really
good fit.

Can anyone help??
Thanks,
Florence Love
