Hi Val,

Seti's had questionable stool since he went on the food, with occasional normal stools, so it's not really a new thing. I should also be clear that he doesn't have diarrhea per se, his stool really is like a blob of pudding or maybe oatmeal in consistency. Very soft but not runny.

He did see a good experienced vet about two weeks ago for his annual checkup and rabies shot, and got a clean bill of health (one of his liver valued was elevated, but he's a ferret, that seems fairly normal). When he goes back in two more weeks for his distemper shot, I'll bring up IBD with the vet. I unfortunately have experience with a severe case of IBD so I'm pretty familiar with the treatment options. It's also possible that since I was used to seeing severe IBD that mild or moderate IBD slipped under my radar, and before losing my ferret Ronan to complications associated with IBD about six weeks ago I might well have assumed that all poor stool belonged to him, not Seti :-/

Thanks,

Regina
