Sarah,
We rescued a ferret that grew up in a house with a dog. The ferret was two years old. Would be turned loose with the dog in the yard. When we got midas, he could stand on hind legs and beg for treats, roll over, run in a circle then stop and beg. he is now going on four years old and still begs on his hind legs and sometimes roll over for a treat. He now runs with our five cats and can climb with ease, and runs as fast as the cats. They adapt to their circumstances. Oh, we have 19 other ferrets to harass the cats.
