We have been advised against the use of mineral oil instead of petroleum jelly because
mineral oil can cause painful cramping, and because if there is reflux and it is inhaled there
could be difficulty breathing from the coating.
Fats that can be digested don't work, BTW. In fact, they slow digestion.
