Hi,
I have 4 ferrets of my own and 2 rescues. Weasella I only had for one month before she passed away. Her anus and vula was swollen, bloody and had hardley any hair on her behind, she had adreanal glands disease. I tried the Lupron, but it did not work.

Is Zena's stool tarry or stringy. I would suggest taking the new ferret out of her cage for now, because when you introduce a new pet you should keep them seperated for two weeks to see if the other one has any symptoms of a virus.

I would suggest taking Zena to the vet and have her checked for a virus and see if she needs antibiotics and have a fecal done on her. Please let me know how she is for I do wildlife rescue and they so touch your heart.
How old is Zena and is she a Marshall's ferret.
God bless,
Angel

my ferret Zena, hasn't been eating much if at all. Her anus is
swollen and bloody. She seems to be drinking a good amount of
water, plus she still loves the high cal. paste we give her. The fecal
is watery, and discolored. There has been a new addition to the cage,
a 10 week old ferret, so stress may be the culprit. if anyone has any
suggestions or advice it would be appreciated.
