Subject: [ferrethealth] Safe Heart worms meds??
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Hello all,
Sorry if this question has been asked over and over. I
really need to know because we live in Mississippi, Our state bird
should be the Mosquito!
I need to know what is 'Safe' to prevent Heart Worms in
ferrets. I have heard of people using the smallest puppy chewable by
Interceptor, but then was told that was not safe. I have also heard of
the use of watered down Ivromectim (sp?), but have heard that is not
good for them either.
The only repeated thing I have heard nothing bad about is
the use of Kitten dose Revolution. However we all know this stuff is $$
when we have many ferrets.
So I am wondering, what's the scoop? What is safe and
what does work? Any advise would be great! Thankx in advance!!
