Subject: [ferrethealth] How do you do a lupron injection

Hi all, I need to try to do lupron injections on my ferrets on my own
as I can't get an appointment with the vets before next week. I have
the stuff and my mother who is a nurse is here to assist. I know it
is supposed to be intermuscular and in the rear leg but I am very
nervous about doing it myself. She is just wanting to know if there
is anything special she should avoid such as a nerve or if she should
use the Z method or just do it directly. I tried to find the info on
line but could not find directions and my specialist is closed today.
I would greatly appreciate responses to my home email as I do not know
how long it will take for the ferret list to arrive. thanks
