Subject: [ferrethealth] Ferret with lump (size of marble between shoulder blades right of center
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
I have posted previously about Babs in early May, female ferret who
had an event where her temp went up during a hot spell. She was taken
to the vet, her temp cooled down with cold packs, given antibiotics for
a period of time, and seemingly recovered. She is also fat. I got one
private response mentioning that a ferret with similar symptoms
subsequently ended up with enlarged lymph glands and lymphoma. today,
my housemate noticed Babs has a movable sizeable lump (between her
shoulder blades. Would this be an enlarged lymph gland? My vet is open
on Saturdays, but has a sub looking at pets on weekends. Since I'm
somewhat panicked, I have not yet searched the archives to see if
lymphoma responds to pred. Could this be something else?
