Dr. Murray,

No, a fasting glucose has not been done as of yet. The last glucose
level was 112 on May 5th. I would say he's been more listless than
lethargic.

Although I don't remember for how long, he was on Baytril when I
first decided to take your advice and treat him as though he has
adrenal disease.

Last Sunday I also started to notice that when he went flat he had
his back legs up trying to avoid laying on his abdomen. When he did
lie on his abdomen he very gingerly turned himself so his abdomen
was on its side. Although I haven't noticed him doing that in a
couple of days it still makes me wonder what's going on.

We tried to catheterize him on Thursday (7/26) but it would not go
in and so the vet who tried it had to get a sample via
cystocentesis. The vet sent one sample away for a culture to be done
and with the other he did a urinalysis.

The urinalysis showed that there was some blood in the sample which
he thought it may have been from him trying to catheterize Mojave.
The vet also said that there was some milky fluid in the sample. He
said that he'd have to talk to the exotic specialist about what it
is but surmised that it might be prostatic fluid. However, Mojave
had another much more sensitive ultrasound on 7/19 and it showed
everything to be normal. There was no enlargement of the adrenal
glands, bladder walls were thin, and the prostate was well within
normal size and the walls were also thin and there was no fluid
buildup.

The results of the culture should be back anytime now.
