Subject: [ferrethealth] Need help with kibble please!
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Recently I changed my soup recipe to include Innova Evo Ferret which
is high in protein as my kibble in the mix. I use to use Purina One
Kitten formula. My 2 older males have been having runny poops and I
read somewhere lately that the high protein foods are bad on the
liver. I also read that some ferrets can have problems with chicken
which is also included in the mix. None of my other ferrets which
are younger are having a problem with it. I just made a large batch
but am considering on making another batch to include a different
kibble that's not so bad on my older males if this is causing the
problem. For their kibble mix I use Totally Ferret, Ultimate 8 in 1
and Innova Evo. Could they be getting too much protein? Here is my
soup recipe:

Family pack of 10 chicken thighs cooked about an hour to hour and 1/2
then deboned. I use the fat too. Make sure the grissle pieces on the
end of the chicken don't go in the mix

3-4 cups of their mixed kibble soaked in the chicken broth

2 cans Hill's a/d from the vet

1/2 tube of ferretvite

Couple scoops of Uncle Jim's Duck Soup from Petsupermarket

Couple scoops of Nupro

Big squirt of ferretone

2 cans stage 2 baby food chicken or turkey or lamb

If you could suggest I use something different please do.

Thanks you!!
