Subject: [ferrethealth] other benefits to propecia?

Does anyone know if besides physically shrinking the prostate are
there any other benefits of giving a ferret propecia?
The vets have told me to take Mojave off Propecia because it wasn't
helping with his urinary problems. However, I decided to put him back
on it the day after he had the cystocentesis and since then he is not
scratching, has gained his weight back, and is more alert and
interacting more.
Or does anyone think the cystocentesis made him feel better (knock on
wood)? I personally don't believe this is the case. I think it
probably has something to do with the propecia.
