Subject: [ferrethealth] Cardiomyopathy
To: <ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com>
I'm curious. I presently have a furbaby with cardiomyopathy. He's doing ok
on his furosemide and vetmedin (which he hates, he now starts swearing at me
as soon as he sees the syringe) Is this a genetic problem, poor care, a
combination or another case of we really don't know? Mayhem came to me 2
yrs ago, turned into rescue by an owner who didn't want him and his little
furry companions. He's about 7 or 8 yrs old as far as we can tell. I
really don't know much about his treatment before he was turned into rescue.
I guess I'm curious if there's something that one can do to prevent our
fuzzies from coming down with this fatal, debilitating disease?
Ciao
