Subject: [ferrethealth] Need help with my Ferret, Please!!!
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I took my ferret Milo to the vet today, we discovered he has a large tumor
that as attached itself to the kidney. The tumor is around the size of a
golf ball. It has pretty much taken over one kidney, and with the rapid
growth my vets feels its probably Lymphoma. He did a biopsy of it to send
off so we can confirm it. Milo is around 4 or 5 in age. The only way to
remove the tumor is to remove the one kidney too. He did not recommend it,
but said if I wanted it done he would do it, or if I found info on were this
type of surgery could be successful. Does any one know if this has been done
or can be done, is it worth the risk or just stick to the meds?
