Hi Dr. Ruth or anyone else who may be able to help... What would one consider
a high enough titer level in regards to considering a ferret protected enough
against distemper? I understand what you are saying that there are no
conclusive studies completed yet, but I'm just wondering what you consider high
enough titer levels so I can discuss this with my vet?

**Andrea, I am unwilling to say at this time what is a protective level or
not (we just don't know for sure), although I tend to double the dog normals for
my personal kids for safety - most of the titers I am seeing are well above
that. I am perfectly willing to discuss my thoughts privately with your vet.
Have them contact me, okay?**

Dr. Ruth
