The only way to
remove the tumor is to remove the one kidney too. He did not recommend it,
but said if I wanted it done he would do it, or if I found info on were this
type of surgery could be successful. Does any one know if this has been done
or can be done, is it worth the risk or just stick to the meds?

**I have sucessfully removed ferret kidneys, yes. The procedure itself is
similar to removing a cat's kidney. The concern for me would be that if this is
lymphoma, it does not tend to be a localized problem, but rather spread
through the body and chemotherapy is likely the better treatment method. If it
comes back as a different tumor type (carcinoma, adrenal, etc), then removing the
kidney and mass may be more use.**
