the vast majority of the ferrets one will encounter) have always
seemed not very surprising to the vets who have occasion to perform
many abdominal surgeries in our area. I've heard tell of many wacky
findings, usually on 3+ age critters who are in for adrenal surgery,
thus the abdomen is open for inspection.


**I'm not saying that it can't happen - I've seen my share of bizarre
surgical findings on MF ferrets. What I am saying is that for the clinical signs of
kidney failure to be related to the surgery, they should have shown up much,
much earlier in the ferret's life, not taken nine or so months to show up.**
