actually, there were signs i just assumed she was fat, she's always been a sleeper which is typical however in the course of six years of owning ferrets i never had one that sleeps so much, in march my gf came to visit me she told me that she felt funny my gf hadn't actually seen my ferret until march. i didn't really give it any attention she was acting normal. so the major sign was there her abdomen feeling hard but as i said i thought she was just overweight.

the vet gave me her kidney, its sunken in on one side, and weighs about four ounces.

she still has a bit of hindleg weakness but seems to be getting a bit better since the surgery, shes been making sorta weird coughing noises which makes me worried.

shes on a high protein diet of innova, is it still wise for her to be on it since she only has one kidney. i've read a few different things about it.
