Subject: [ferrethealth] Insulinomic and Adrenal Ferret
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I have a male ferret, 6.5 years old (give or take a month <g>) who has
been on prednisolone for about 6 months now. He also has adrenal
symptoms which are currently untreated.

My vet has negative feelings on melatonin and insulinomic ferrets.
So, the question I'm asking myself (and will ask the vet, but want info
first) is this - will Lupron (Depot, right?) cause any harm to an
insulinomic ferret if his adrenals are normal? Will it cause any harm if he
has adrenal disease?

I have trouble searching the archives, so was unable to find an
answer to this there.

Debbie

P.S. Sukie (or anyone else), if there is an answer that I didn't
find, and you just want to send me a link to it, that's fine, too. Thanks!
