Thank you to all who responded again. Hope to get some more comments

I noticed that on the animal poison control sites which is why I was
curious about others' experience with that book. 99% of what goes
into an herbal remedy is not found in the common house plant.
The other problem is that some herbs are toxic for one species and not
for another! I came across an example of one not unusual herbal
supplement that turned out to be toxic to cats, but not for dogs.
Sorry I can't recall what it is offhand, but that was just one example
I'm sure of species specific toxicity.
