The antibiotic ointment did not cause what happened, in fact, no topical or eye drops, ointments, etc would cause those symptoms.
It sounded like internal bleeding- could have been ulcer in the stomach that finally cut through the stomach lining and into a major blood vessel, or something else that started to bleed. It probably could have happened at any time. You could preserve the body in the refrig and get a necropsy done to look for the cause of the bleeding for piece of mind and closure.
I am sorry.

She was vomiting blood and blood was coming out of her nose. She was limp, arched backwards and I knew right then that I was loosing her. I was right, a few seconds later she stopped breathing, she was gone!.
I am in total shock, I can't believe what had just happened and I need to find out if the antibiotic could have caused this. It's a small 3.5g tube and it says :Triple Antibiotic Ointment. Neomycin and Polymyxin B Sulfates and Bacitracin Zinc Opthalmic Ointment USP.
Manufactured by Bausch&Lomb.
I just have to know if it is possible that this ointment was what could have killed her
.
