I can't offer a definite, scientific answer but I had a similar
experience a few years ago, when my ferret, Blitz had a scuffle with
the cat and ended up with a small cut on his side. Before I could
clean the cut, one of the other ferrets was licking it and it stopped
bleeding in a second.
