Twice a day is the standard. Dividing the med among three times a day is something that
some ferret vets have found useful after reading the length of time of the optimal action
for the med. It is a non-standard approach but when needed it allows the ferret to not
experience any time with sub-optimal medication levels. With something as serious a
blood sugar level drops that can make a difference.

Yes. Pred of any sort can be irritating to the stomach and insulinoma itself already causes
nausea of irritating the lining of the stomach doesn't help. Food protects against that.
When there is more serious need then giving Carafate (separate from food and separate
from other meds in timing) helps even more. In fact, it is what is given to help shield
ulcers from further damage.

Then he may be helped by dividing the Prednisolone among three times a day, 8 hours
apart.
