Hi Betty, Sorry this is a late reply (just catching up on emails), but I just wanted to give you some additional info since I didnt see anything like this posted.
I had a female, with the Juvenile form, also loose control of her back legs. Our vet believed the lymphoma possibly spread to her spine. What he did for this, was radiation therapy. It was starting to work, but since this was the juvenile form, it took her sweet life away too quickly. If Hershey is older and this is not the juvenile form, you may have better luck with this... other ferrets have.
There is a wonderful writeup about this treatment in the Ferrets March/April magazine by Dr. Joerg Mayer (from Tufts Univ doing the Tufts chemo protocol).
I hope this info isnt too late for you. If you need more info on this, please contact me and I can give you more info. Good luck with your Hershey.

My Hershey has been on a chemo/pred treatment for Lymphoma since April. He
was doing great except for hairloss until last Thursday; playing like a kit-
he was his normal chunky self. Suddenly, his rear legs stopped working.
Friday he still had an appetite. Now he has really crashed; very listless
and not willingly eating anything.
Has anyone else seen this kind of sudden change with Lymphoma?
