IMO, Sukie is exactly right. There's no replacement for Lupron besides
surgery. Even though the ferret is 5 or 6 years old, is it not a good
surgical candidate? A blood screening and pre-anesthetic can decide
that, or your own heart of course (I understand that most people won't
operate on 4 or older).
The order of things as I understand it is if you can't do surgery, try
Melatonin, then Lupron.
