Buy bulbs that simulate daylight and then never turn them on, (joke). It
is not what type of light it is the unnatural pattern of light we
subject the ferrets to that appears to upset their metabolism. If you
cannot walk around the house without turning the lights on just make
sure the ferrets have totally enclosed light proof sleeping boxes/areas.
Ferrets do not need sunlight to produce vitamins as we do, the wild
polecat only comes out to feed at dawn and dusk and sees very little
bright sunlight.
