Please, someone tell me...does 1mg = 1ml? Liquid melatonin.
Serving size 4 droppers 4ml. 2oz bottle. Would one dropper be 1mg? I
need to start this before ...i think 4 pm today.
Thanks..Jeana
[Moderator's Note: ml is a measure of volume (like quart, gallon, teaspoon). mg is a measure of weight (like pound, ounce, ton). They are two different things. The number of mg of any med in an ml depends on the concentration. That is why just giving the cc or ml for a med does NOT tell how much med is being given except where there is only one concentration. Look on the packaging to find something that will include mg/ml. If it says 1 mg/ml then a ml will have 1 mg. If it says 2 mg/ml then each ml will have twice that: 2 mg of med. If it says 5 mg/ml then each ml will have 5 ml of med. If it says 10 mg/ml then each ml will have 10 mg of med. There is info about this in the FHL Rules and also in past posts like:

http://ferrethealth.org/archive/SG16850

I can understand how it could be difficult to find such common terms.]
