Subject: [ferrethealth] Question regarding Feline TD for teeth...
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

We have an older ferret (about 6) with cardiomyopathy, an enlarged
spleen, and she is adrenal. Her teeth/gums are not very good, but we
feel she would not be a good candidate for a teeth cleaning due to the
anesthesia.
Our vet suggested we check with this group about Feline TD as an
possible way to at least slow down the potential gingivitis and/or
decay. I understand it is a crunchy treat that has shown potential in
dogs and cats, but he was uncertain about ferrets.
Any suggestions?
