Abstracts from studies are like Press Releases. They are
expected to be shared freely that is why they are easy
to find in places like PubMed. Published journal articles
about studies themselves usually are the property of
journals but some share them after a certain point, or
leave it up to the authors after a given time has elapsed,
and a few like PLoS (Public Library of Science) have open
access as long as there is proper attribution. (Sadly, it
appears that Nature might have recently decided to not
move to open access. That is disappointing.)

So, you can certainly share study abstracts and not worry.

Notice that I also kept the quotes from articles' content
short enough to not cause a copyright problem, so no
worry for you there as long as there is attribution. For one
quote you will have to work backwards a little bit to find the
attribution in the post.

If you want to quote me, know that i certainly am no more
than someone who has read a bit on the topic -- something
anyone can do. If, on knowing that you still want to quote
the three posts I sent to the FHL earlier today (or this one to
show that I am okay with re-use), then, yes, I will allow you
and others to do so just as long as they remain unchanged
and the URLs are given. (There are probably enough typos
in them from my own typing without having someone else
accidently insert any goofs! ;-) )

As to quoting the posts of other FHL members on this topic:
ask the given individuals themselves, please, for permission.
