Another possibility if the treating vet says it is okay would be to
modify a pantyhose sling. It sounds like you would need to have a
larger body sling and a way for Koda to strap in given how large his
problem is, but pantyhose has some give so while it supplies some
support it also encourages animals to exercise their legs, so that
material might still be good for the suspending fabric.
