We have known from symptoms and the underlying diseases, so I don't know.

A very big thing is to look for possible causative diseases.

Yes, there might be lymphoma from those findings.

Carafate can be even more useful, but is a prescription so that will
need to wait for when places are open again. Carafate should be
given separately from food and even more separately from other
meds.

Aspirates are sometimes used but are prone to error in each direction.
