Two ideas: One, give the carafate 20 minutes before the meds. Carafate is most effective given shortly before food or meds. The other is possibly having the meds compounded with either a flavoring or with Ferretone.

I have a 5 year old adrenal and Insulunomic female ferret. ... The problem that I am having is that she really dislikes taking the meds, to the point that she grinds her teeth when I give her the meds and then almost spits it out. ... Any suggestions on giving her the meds?
