Subject: [ferrethealth] Use of Pred with injury question?

I took my older girl lily to my vet today for a limp. He thinks she
either has a strain in her hip, or maybe the effects of age getting to
her joints. He said he thought a couple days of pred. wouldn't hurt for
it's anti-inflammatory effects. He said to dose her 0.3 liquid MLs for
2 days then cut in half for another 2 days and see how she does.
He is a really great guy and trying to learn ferrets but really they
are not his specialty. So I was wondering what some of you ferret folk
or ferret vets might think? Any feed back on if this is a bad idea
before I start?
