My vet uses a steroid shot on dogs, cats, etc. and the
ferrets to treat inflammation from injury. I *believe*
that pred is also a steroid or derivative, so a brief
course of treatment with it might help keep down any
inflammation that could worsen the injury or make it
take longer to heal. It's worth a try. Hope she feels
better!
