Ah, now THERE is an EXCELLENT point. Still, there are those times
when a possible exposure is known about, there are the situations
shelters or vet hospitals sometimes might face when a sick one
brought in has CD and some other ferrets may have been exposed.

One of the questions that arose for me was when a vet of ours was
treating a household with CD in the remaining ferrets. He was the
third vet they had come to and some details are not clear. The younger
ferrets had never been vaccinated and they all died. The older ones
had been vaccinated "2 or 3 years ago" but how accurate that was is
not known. The older ones lived, but with damage. This was quite
some time ago so the vaccines would have been either Fervac D or
Fromme D. Neither of those vaccines exists any longer, though
Galaxy is partly based upon Fromme-D as an "ancestor". What I
wound up wondering was if ferrets in that position -- able to fight
the disease some but not enough to emerge unscathed -- would be
helped by this nutritional approach.

So, I don't think that it is without possible use.

Also, it raises the question if perhaps the amount of Vitamin A in
some diets *might" not be optimal for ferret needs.
