Why are you keeping them in seperate cages? Usually keeping cagemates
together while they are getting better is theraputic. It can be hard
on Slick to be away from his buddy.

Even after my guys had surgery, they would have short supervised time
together right away for the first day or two. Then increase the time
as they got better.

So if it isn't an issue of Slick being physically hurt by Peetee, I
would let them be there for each other.

[Moderator's Note: if you read the initial posts titled "Duck Soup" it sounds like he is a newly arrived 2 month old kit who is not well, so the vet may have wanted this separation until the cause of the problem is determined to prevent infecting the other one. That has a different subject line, though, and Slick is not mentioned by name at first so it takes a little searching to put the two groups together.
