Hi xxxxxxx,

Thanks for your reply. I took her to the vet yesterday and she has
insulinoma. Her glucose was 59. He gave me predinsolone tablets and I am to
give her 1/4 tablet a day. He gave her the first dose, in liquid form, while
we were there. I had a tough time giving her the dose today. I soaked it in
ferretone and finally just stuck it in her mouth and held it closed until
she swallowed it. Maybe tomorrow will be easier.

She weighed less than a pound yesterday. I bought some duck soup mix and
some turkey baby food. She didn't seem to care for the baby food at all. She
did lick at the duck soup some, but didn't really get much. I tried again a
couple hours later. She licked at it, but didn't really seem interested. She
even seemed to be falling asleep while I was trying to feed her, which
worried me a lot. I mixed the soup with more water to thin it out and force
fed a little through a syringe.

I did notice something she was doing after eating the duck soup that I'd
never seen before. She was grinding her teeth. I'm sure that means she as an
ulcer as well. I'll probably call the vet tomorrow and let him know about
that. I did find it funny that she only did it after "chewing" though.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write with your suggestions. I'm
worried that she may be too far gone. I sure hope not.

Amy
