Subject: [ferrethealth] Lymph fluid in the abdomen
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Hi everybody

Since about 2 weeks my ferret Leela (female castrated, 2 years-young)
developed a pear-shaped belly. I thought she had just put some
weight, but her belly was really looking odd.

Today I brought to the vet and he suspected of abdominal fluids. She
spent the whole day in the clinic, made ultrasound, blood text, x-ray
the vet also took a bit of the fluid of her abdomen.

The result: the fluid in her abdomen is from a lymph. The vet told us
he hasno idea how this fluid appear there. Even in Cats and dogs, this
is very rare.

We both searched in the internet, but unfortunately there is nothing
about lymph fluid in the abdomen.

I kindly ask you guys if you ever heard about that. Any help will be
extremely welcome.

Thank you so much for your attention.

Greetings from Switzerland,

Paty Leela & Baerli
