You should call your vet and ask.
It is so EASY to mishear and also
so easy to have the wrong word
come out and not always realize
it. For example, once when Steve
came home from work I wanted to
let him know I was getting a bit of
a soak. The first thing I called out
to him was, "I'm in the toilet." Well,
THAT wasn't right so I tried again.
This time "sink" came out. On the
third try my brain and mouth
worked together and "tub" was the
word said. Although it is easier to
make those errors with dyslexia,
everyone does them at times and
often the speaker does not even
notice.
The same happens in reverse; the
speaker says the right thing, but the
listener has something so strongly in
the back of her or his mind that that
word is what is heard.
When confused, no matter the situation
but especially where something serious
like health is involved it simply makes
sense for the two principal players: the
original speaker and the original
listener to talk about it.
You can find many past vet posts and
articles on melatonin used with adrenal
disease. It is NOT as good as surgery or
Lupron, but better than nothing according
to the current level of study. Best, if
surgery is not your route, is to use it WITH
Lupron DEPOT or deslorelin depot where
that is used. (Still awaiting approval for
use of that in the U.S.)
